FRUIT SENSE

Whatever idea (anachronism) you may attribute to  fruits, herbs, vegetables nuts and seeds in this modern age of hormone treatment, synthetic drugs, nanotechnology... there still must be sense in going back to nature. Why? Everything tends to revert back to its original form with time. Just leave anything unattended to for a few days and see what happens. 'Adam and Eve' had no knowledge of fire so, they did not cook their food. They did not eat other animals. In fact it never crossed their minds that they should kill and eat other animals. It follows that fruits must have sufficient nutrients to keep them alive, well and strong

Although a  lot of money is spent on food and other industries with their inevitable waste products and pollution, it should be admitted that all forms of learning leading to whatever production, must be deemed  good to keep life going  or it would go rusty. The  general direction of learning and advancements could go torrid without research and development.

Having said that, I think it would be nice to go back to nature once in a while for the simple reason that 'a river must never forget its source lest it dries up.' Nature is the source and our living the river.

A river will never dry up because it keeps a constant touch with  its root/source

Let us get to the root of my river hypothesis - A river will run dry if it forgets its source. Just take another look at the sugar ant comfortably nestling on the mango tree [or perhaps infesting the mango tree]. It maintains a constant contact and dialogue with the mother earth on the one hand and carefully chooses the east or west end of the tree on the other hand for its abode. The East and West  for the warmth of the rising  and setting sun but not the top because of the scorching effects when the sun is in the zenith! Intelligent!?

This ant behavior  is a pointer for  humans. No matter the positive attributes of synthetic foods and medicines, nature always has a better answer. All we need is ask the right questions.

How many tons of fresh fruits, roots and vegetables/herbs shall we put onboard the next flight from London to Brisbane? with stopovers in Oman, Singapore and Indonesia. Or,  how many tons of cocoa [not chocolates],  yam tubers and potatoes [not chips] for the next space shuttle flight to Mars?

Not to worry. Just do like the ant. But let it not look like the 'old school' or 'conservatives.' This is Reality. That elusive word that appears to defy  definition. ENJOY  .

Now, shall we begin with the packaging of the 'apple' for Venus please?
